The following terms and conditions apply to the Evening and Correspondence Courses:

1. No application shall be entertained unless it is accompanied by full payment in cleared funds. Fees must be paid in advance and are due by the first day of term.

2. No allowances for any reason whatsoever shall be made for late or early leaving the Diploma. All monies paid are non-refundable.

3. The cost of the Diploma by Evening Class for one year is £499. The cost of the Correspondence Course for one year is £699 (additional postage & packaging charges may apply depending on country). Payment for the second year shall be due at the commencement of the second year of the Diploma.

4. Any difficulty in payment should be discussed prior to the beginning of term. Any arrangement made must be approved before term starts.

5. The costs of the Diploma by Evening Class do not include the cost of CD's of previous lectures.

6. The cost of the Advanced Diploma shall be announced in due course.

The following applies to Evening, Weekend and Correspondence Course:

1. Students must maintain a respectable standard of behaviour and if they are in any way disruptive to the Course they may be temporarily excluded or in severe cases permanently excluded without any refund. Prior to any such action taking place they will in the normal course be given a formal warning. If they re-offend thereafter they will be liable to the appropriate sanction. However, if in the opinion of the Lecturer, the nature of the offence is so grave that it requires immediate sanctioning such sanction shall be formally given in writing accompanied with a reason as to why such action is being taken. Appeal from such a decision may be made directly to the Hajveri Foundation. Hajveri Foundation shall then direct the procedure to be followed in hearing the appeal.

2. The Suyuti Institute reserves the right to make alterations to the Diploma to suit the needs of students and to increase efficiency otherwise. These alterations include the content of the modules that may have been advertised.

3. It is imperative for all students enrolled for the Course by Evening Class and Weekend Course to have attended at least 70% of the Course to be entitled to sit the examinations.

4. All deadlines for assessments must be met. Failure to do so may render the assessment void. Individual Lecturers will give details of deadlines and penalties arising there-from at the time of setting assessments. All assessments shall be typed and presented in duplicate form unless otherwise directed by the Lecturer for a specific topic.

5. In the event that a student fails a particular assessment they shall be given one further opportunity to substitute it with another assessment. Until and unless all assessments are completed, no student will be entitled to sit the examinations for that particular subject. In the event that a student fails all the examinations or a particular exam, they will be given an opportunity to re-sit. The cost of the re-sit examination is not included in the Course fee. The fee for each re-sit exam is £55.00 per subject. This fee is payable in cleared funds prior to the re-sit(s).

6. In order to proceed to the second year of the Diploma and the Advanced Diploma, students must have completed and passed all modules of the first year. This includes completion of all assessments and examinations.

7. All examinations are to be marked by the HCEB (Hijaz College Examination Board). Appropriate Certificates are also to be issued by the said Institution. Award ceremonies will be held wherein the Certificates will be presented by Eminent Scholars of Islamic Law and Theology.

8. It is the responsibility of all students to ascertain recommended texts throughout the course of study. The Lecturers may at their discretion photocopy extracts from textbooks and distribute them.

9. Any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be referred to the Administrator of Hajveri Foundation, who in his discretion shall choose to receive written submissions or oral submissions from the respective parties.

10. All students are required as a condition of enrolment to abide by and respect all the rules and regulations of The Suyuti Institute.
